This is because of the fact that Deadpool has been given an ‘A’ certificate by the Central Board of Film Certification of India. So all the people below the age of 18 years won’t be able to watch it. But that won’t stop a film from earning money! In the past too, we have seen several A rated movies raking in the moolah at the domestic box office. But which is the highest grossing A rated movie in India currently?

It is Riteish Deshmukh, Aftab Shivdasani and Vivek Oberoi’s Grand Masti. The sequel to Masti had opened fantastically well at the Indian box office and became the first and only A rated film to enter the Rs 100 crore mark. And with a lifetime collection of Rs 102.13 crore, Grand Masti is right now the highest grossing A rated film in India. But can Deadpool 2 defeat it and take over this feat? While the buzz is huge, the screen space of the Hollywood release is smaller. Also the fact that it is a Hollywood A rated film, might keep a portion of the audience away. Some are not fans of superhero movies, so Deadpool 2 might have a disadvantage in the Indian market.
